Easter crafts to make – Mother hen and chicks
Creating crafts is one of the ways of understanding the world and understanding the nature of things. Yesterday we did a Mother Hen and chicks, that had just hatched from eggs, my son has done several independent discoveries and was pleased with the result.
It is good, when you can often be with children in nature, to see the life of animals and birds, living in the wild. I am sure that the children, living in the village, from an early age understand the questions how the chicks and the eggs appear. However, children, who live in the cities, see eggs and chicks only on television and plates, but that’s another sad story…
I offer you a Easter crafts to make, which you can see below, I think this is especially actual on the eve of the Easter:
You will need:
Color paper and paperboard
Disposable paper plate
Paint or markers
Pen or pencil
Colored feathers, but it is optional.
For the base of Mother Hen you cut out an oval of white cardboard, (by the way, you can teach children what is the “oval” and its special characteristics). Cut out feet and triangular beak of yellow paper. Draw the child’s hand on orange or brown paper and cut out – it will be a chicken comb.
I drew the eyes of the chicken and showed where to glue them, Timmy did the rest.
Attach feathers of chicken, we had few, as you can see.
Mother Hen is ready, it seems quite nice.
Now we proceed to the creation of “eggs”, I cut the plate into two parts with zigzag line. Timmy decorated it with prints of his fingers. I, meanwhile, cut out the chick.
Fix together plate halves with a paper clip and glue the chick to the back of the lower half of the plate.
Wow! Who lives in a house?!
This is the chick!
Mother and the newborn baby.
Timmy is playing)))
And that what we did in the end – Timmy drives the Lightning McQueen – the main character of the “Cars”.
